A Cosmetics R&D Specialist with strong expertise in anti-aging product development and a background in Biochemistry or related fields. You will hands-on experience in skincare formulation, especially products designed to work with beauty devices (LED, IPL, RF, etc.). Fluency in English is essential for working. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Trend Analysis: Research and analyze global and regional skincare trends, focusing on anti-aging ingredients, formulations, and consumer preferences to guide product development.
- Product Development: Design and develop an anti-aging skincare line (e.g., serums, creams, masks) optimized for use with beauty devices, ensuring compatibility with LED, IPL, Sonic, EMS, and Radio Frequency technologies.
- Manufacturer Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with skincare manufacturers, negotiate contracts, and oversee formulation, testing, and production to meet quality, safety, and efficacy standards.
- Synergy Optimization: Work closely with the device team to ensure skincare products enhance the effectiveness of technologies like red, blue, and yellow light therapy, IPL, and Radio Frequency for lifting and anti-aging.
- Market Research: Identify customer pain points, preferences, and gaps in the anti-aging skincare market to create competitive, innovative products.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with cosmetic regulations, safety standards, and labeling requirements in target markets.
- Project Management: Manage timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams to launch the skincare line on schedule and within scope.
- Testing & Feedback: Coordinate product testing (e.g., clinical trials, consumer feedback) to validate performance and compatibility with beauty devices.
- Brand Alignment: Ensure the skincare line reflects the brand’s values, quality standards, and commitment to innovative beauty solutions.
- Coordinating to perform other tasks as requested by the Line Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in BioChem, Chemistry, Dermatology, Product Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience in skincare or cosmetic product development, with a focus on anti-aging formulations.
- Proven track record of collaborating with skincare manufacturers and bringing products to market.
- Experience analyzing cosmetic industry trends and consumer behavior.
- Deep understanding of anti-aging ingredients (e.g., retinol, hyaluronic acid, peptides, vitamin C, niacinamide) and their compatibility with beauty devices (LED, IPL, Sonic, EMS, Radio Frequency).
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills to work with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Analytical mindset to interpret market data, consumer feedback, and industry trends.
- Project management skills to oversee product development from concept to launch.
- Knowledge of cosmetic regulations (e.g., FDA, EU Cosmetics Regulation) and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, device engineers, sales).
